Islamic Awareness Week
Islamic Awareness Week is Emory MSA's largest event, held annually in the spring semester at Emory. The purpose of IAW is to dispel negative stereotypes that may exist about Muslims and to promote better cross-cultural understanding on campus. Emory's MSA wants the audience of IAW events to leave with a better understanding of Islam, Muslim culture, and the role that Muslims play in American society and the world. For this upcoming year, Emory's IAW is scheduled for the third week of February, where it will once again feature prominent speakers who will discuss contemporary Muslim issues. Islamic Awareness Week will be capped off with the 3rd annual MSA Art Gala that will feature Islamic artistic expressions from all over the Muslim world. Please stay on the look-out for further information, as we need everyone's help in continuing the successful IAW tradition here at Emory.
